Abstract
A sermon by Edward Hitchcock discussing the benevolence of God. Hitchcock discusses proof of God's benevolence in the Bible, such as that man was created to be happy and live in a paradise and that man is assured the possibility of redemption. He also makes some remarks on what other effects and impacts God's benevolence has on man. Matthew 19:17 is quoted. Hitchcock has noted the dates and locations where he delivered the sermons as well as Bible chapters and hymns related to the sermons on the first page.
