Abstract
Sermon notes by Edward Hitchcock quoting 1 Corinthians 1:30 and discussing the concept of salvation and the idea that one can only gain true wisdom, righteousness, sanctity, and redemption through belief in Jesus Christ. He uses these ideas to explain why one should commemorate the death of Christ. Hitchcock has noted on the final page that he preached this sermon at a preparatory lecture in Conway on March 1, 1822.
