Abstract
A letter to Benjamin Silliman in which Edward Hitchcock requests the bill for the coloring of the map for his report on his geological survey of Massachusetts. Hitchcock also discusses the cost of printing a similar map showing the strata of the rocks. He explains that he will not have more of his report ready for the next issue of the American Journal of Science, and says he heard a geological survey may be undertaken in Connecticut as well.
