Abstract
Notes for a lecture by Edward Hitchcock discussing the idea that benevolent plans and revivals of religion are not new but are instead things that can be seen in every age throughout history. Hitchcock provides examples from scriptures and examples from the lives of holy men. Hitchcock had written at the head of the notes, "For the Monthly Concert August 1st 1831 & 1845" and "College April 1849".
