Abstract
Notes by Edward Hitchcock that appear to be written for an audience, on the concepts of friendship and death, discussed through the lens of religion. Hitchcock emphasizes that everyone will die someday and that true friendship cannot be proven during times of prosperity but is better demonstrated in times of misfortune, including during the approach of death. Hitchcock urges the importance of thinking about death while one is still young and healthy in order to better prepare for death.
