Included is a photo of a map of the region and a set of ticket stubs that are undated. Some photos contain captions in Japanese and one includes an English translation. The photographer(s) and compilers of the album are unknown. Great Kanto Earthquake photo album Great Mino-Owari earthquake photo album A photograph album containing black-and-white photographs documenting the people and buildings after the Great Mino-Owari Earthquake, known also as the Great Nobi Earthquake, on October 28, 1891. Includes a library sticker with a stamp indicating the album has been disinfected on November 10, 1941 by the Kyoto City Department of Health according to the regulations of the Kyoto prefectural government. All photos contain captions in Japanese. The photographer(s) and compilers of the album are unknown. The album seems to have been owned by George S. Crego or a descendant of his and annotations throughout mention how those depicted are related to George Crego. Photographs of Edward and Orra White Hitchcock are included, as well as James Hitchcock, Martha Hitchcock, Henry Hitchcock, Elizabeth Hitchcock Childs, and Cassius and Emily Hitchcock Terry. Photos of members of the Crego, Childs, and Huntington families are also in the album.
