Banister letter to Simeon Colton, 1831 July 6 Wright, John H. (John Harvey) John H. Wright and Seth W. Banister letter to Reverand S. Colton (Simeon Colton) in which Wright and Banister write on behalf of the D.L.V. Society of Amherst Academy and state that the society voted on June 2, 1831 to request that instructor Colton attend all future meetings of the society. Wright and Banister state that in compliance with this vote, they transmit to Colton a copy of their constitution and invite him to attend the society's meeting that evening.
