She mentions Mrs. Tyler Reed's family members Rebecca, Mrs. Eastman, and Mrs. Woodbridge. Cozzens also writes regarding the children's Sabbath School, mentions Miss Hooper, and asks for information on the Nestorian Mission. She goes on to discuss her own family including her children Samuel and Charlotte, mention William (Bass), and remark that Susan Stowell is still staying with them. This letter likely originally accompanied a letter from William Reed and Samuel Woodworth Cozzens in Box 1 Folder 5 of this collection.

Samuel W. Cozzens letter to Justin Perkins in which Cozzens writes regarding Charlotte (Bass Perkins), mentioning Dr. Tyler and Dr. B. He also writes of Henry (presumably Henry Martyn Perkins) and of the hope of a revival of religion in (Middlebury) College. Cozzens notes that Dr. Labaree takes excellent care of Henry and remarks on the deaths of several individuals: Reverend Parsons Cooke, Dr. (Edward) Hitchcock, and someone with an illegible name. He goes on to write regarding his family, mentioning Samuel, Charlotte, Pennie (Penelope), and Hannah.

Cozzens mentions Captain Bray, Mr. Appleton, Mr. Gardner, their parents (Fidelia and William Bass), and their siblings Lydia (later Russel), William, and Jane (Seymour). On the last page, S.W. Cozzens (Samuel W. Cozzens) also writes to the Perkinses. He writes of their current journey to Middlebury, the revival in Marblehead, and local interest in the Perkinses.

She writes regarding her own daughter (Charlotte Bass Cozzens), her son Samuel, their sister Lydia (later Lydia Russel), their parents (Fidelia and William Bass), Mary Jewett Whitney, and Mrs. Tyler Reed. Following Abby's letter, S.W. Cozzens (Samuel W. Cozzens) writes to Justin Perkins regarding Mr. Armstrong preaching on the Foreign Missions, his intention to get Justin an Honorary Membership of the Board, and his request to Justin for communications he can read in a monthly concert.

Cozzens also asks them questions about their situation. Dr. and Mrs. Grant (Asahel and Judith S. Grant) and Mr. Worcester are mentioned in the letter.

On the last page of the letter, S.W. Cozzens (Samuel W. Cozzens) writes to Justin Perkins, remarking on the condition of the Nestorians and sharing news of the deaths of several individuals. He also responds to Justin's letter, says that he lent out the book Justin wrote, notes the local interest in foreign missions, and writes of his current pastoral assignment.

Abby Bass Cozzens letter to Justin and Charlotte Bass Perkins in which Cozzens writes regarding Charlotte's prior illness, her son Samuel, a visit from their parents (Fidelia and William Bass), their sister Jane (Seymour), Cousin Frederick Fowler and his wife Mrs. Lockwood Clark, Sister Delia, and the deaths of Cousin Mary Ann, Uncle Fowler, Kinsman, Jane Grant, and the Perkinses' daughter (Charlotte Nisbet Perkins). Cozzens leaves the letter unsigned, and S.W.C. (Samuel Woodworth Cozzens) writes a closing paragraph explaining that his dear Abby asked him to finish as she was confined this morning with a daughter whom they will name Charlotte. Sarah Bass (later Crehore) has also written a message to Charlotte Perkins in the margins of the letter.

Abby writes regarding the Board meeting, her mother (Fidelia Bass), and the death of Mary. The Cozzenses' children Samuel, Charlotte, Hannah, and Penelope are mentioned in the letter as are other relatives including Sarah (Crehore), Lydia (Russel), William (Bass), Elisabeth, and Laura.

He goes on to write regarding the loss of Pennie (Penelope Rowe Cozzens), seeing Henry (Perkins) frequently, his son Samuel's assignment as Aide De Camp, and his daughter Charlotte and her husband who is in the army. He also notes that he completed the errand Perkins requested, as Mr. Gordon's receipts will show.
