Analekta, 1924-1954: an anthology of Amherst undergraduate writing

Analekta: An Anthology of Amherst Undergraduate Writing is a compilation of literary works created from 1924 to 1954 by Amherst College students. Inclusions were chosen from source materials such as Amherst Student, Sabrina, Context, Touchstone, Amherst Undergraduate Verse, and Amherst Writing. Entries include "humorous and serious, documentary and artistic" pieces. Entries also vary in form and include essays, prose, poems, and short stories. The anthology is divided into five sections based on time period and each section includes a preface regarding that era. The editorial committee of Analekta consisted of Mathew P. Mitchell, T.D. Long, Jack W.C. Hagstrom, Edward W. Corson, Jr., Herbert R. Coursen, Jr., Jay J. Jacobson, Arthur A. Leff, Robert M. Riggs, and Edward W. Tayler.
