The little city democrat & trapper, 1895 December 26 An unfinished Christmas issue of a periodical featuring stories from the Nelson brothers' imaginary world and published by the Little Pub. Co., one of their fictitious enterprises. The first story is an unfinished piece about the religious tensions with the Catholic people. The second story is about a skating competition between Long Continent, Big Continent and Round Continent. Presented in a two-column format, the periodical has empty columns that have not been filled in. The original painting was done by Margaret Gillies in 1841 and the stipple engraving was done by J. C. Armytage. Gillies' name is inscribed below the portrait to the left, and Armytage's name is inscribed below the portrait to the right. A fascimile of Wordsworth's signature is also included on the print. Gillies believed her original of this portrait was the best of the three portraits she had done of William Wordsworth. Amherst is informing Jenkinson of the supplies purchased for the regiments in Florida and Louisiana, as promised in his previous letter.
