Collegiate Institution faculty resolution regarding the freshmen class examinations, 1824 August 23 The popies cruse [sic] This unattributed story tells of two fictional warships called Popie. The ships are engaged in several battles and are led by the Nelson brothers' character Ethan Allen. Battles at sea are described in much detail. Allen's son Jimmy Allen features prominently in the story and even accompanies his father on one of the sea battles. This small book features illustrations with some color details and includes portraits of Ethan Allen and Jimmy Allen at the end of the book.
