After the signatures there is a note, likely written by Heman Humphrey, stating that "the class was informed that the President hoped to hear them as usual and they went on without any interruption to the end of their term." Senior class petition to add the remainder of the term to senior vacation, 1837 July Wonders of the forest An illustrated account of three brothers' (presumably the Nelson brothers) explorations in the woods written on a Globe Bible Publishing Co. envelope. Several excursions are briefly described in this account. The brothers set traps and chase squirrels, find flowers and play horse on a tree resembling the animal. The boys ask their mother to identify the flowers (Indian Pipe and Lady Slipper).
