S. Rogers letter to Edward Hitchcock, 1827 July 14 Hitchcock, Edward, 1793-1864 A letter to Hitchcock regarding a package of mineral specimens, sent separately, to replace another box that was apparently lost. A list of the minerals sent is included and the sender asks for a sample in return. The signature of the sender was cut from the letter. "J.S. Rogers" appears in Hitchcock's hand on the outside of the letter. The identity of J.S. Rogers could not be determined. J. S. Rogers letter to Edward Hitchcock, 1827 July 14 Guido Sandberger letter to Edward Hitchcock, 1845 June 25 Sandberger, Guido, 1821-1869 A letter from Guido Sandberger to accompany a box of "petrifactions and minerals." He asks that Hitchcock send a him a sample of specimens in return. Sandberger also mentions including an address he delivered the previous year that might be of interest to Hitchcock, but it does not appear with the letter.
