    A letter from Jeffery Amherst to Home Secretary Henry Dundas, dated May 17, 1794. Amherst writes to Dundas that the Colours captured at Martinique, Valenciennes and St. Lucia will be transported by a detachment of Life Guards and Fort Guards from St. James's Palace to St. Paul's Cathdral at 11 o'clock on the morning on May 18, 1794. His Majesty George III also approved a gun salute to mark the passing of the Colours.
