H.G.O. Dwight letter to Justin Perkins and Asahel Grant in which Dwight responds to communications from Perkins and Grant and says that he will attend to their directions in regard to the Syriac Scriptures and he will translate their letter to someone with an illegible name. He writes that he will also attend to Grant's requests. Dwight comments on information provided by Grant and Perkins, discussing the Nestorian people and the missionaries' plans. He also shares news of his own mission, its schools, and other missionaries, mentioning Mr. Goodell and Mr. Schneider. Dwight notes that a reverend from Boston is there after wearing himself out pleading for the temperance cause.

Dwight letter to Asahel Grant in which Dwight responds to letters from Grant, congratulates him on the birth of his son, and provides his opinions on Grant's proposed visit to the mountain Nestorians. He says that Grant should not feel any haste to go and should place little confidence in a promise of any Kurdish Pasha. He also asks why it is necessary for Brother (Justin) Perkins to go with him and suggests alternatives. Dwight mentions Brother (James Lyman) Merrick, Mr. Barker, and the American Bible Society and provides a copy of a bill for the Syriac Bibles.

Charles G. Barth letter to Justin Perkins in which Barth writes of a parcel from Perkins which he has finally received. He says that he will give the Syriac Bible to the library at Stuttgart, suggests other Christian religious texts for translation into modern Syriac, and discusses works being translated by other missionaries. Barth also inquires about the Nestorian Mission and discusses his own health. Mr. Schneider and Hoernle are mentioned in the letter.

Charles G. Barth letter to Justin Perkins in which Barth responds to a letter and books received from Perkins, saying that he gave the copy of the Nestorian Bible to the library at Stuttgart. He writes regarding his health, the receipt of a box from Perkins by the German Oriental Society, his request for a copy of "our Church History," funds that were sent to Perkins, the Missionary Society of Basle (Basel) sending a delegate to Russia, and the religious revival at Oroomiah (Urmia). Dr. Schauffler, Professor Neumann, Mr. Hallock, Mr. Zaremba, the Missionary Society at Geneva, and Mr. Haas are mentioned in the letter.
