A letter from Sarah (presumably Sarah Bass Crehore) to Justin Perkins in which she writes of her unsuccessful attempt to see Charlotte (Charlotte Bass Perkins). She writes that Dr. Tyler would not let her see Charlotte. She shares news of Charlotte's health and discusses the health of herself, her family, and Middlebury friends. She also remarks on the state of the country, the weather, and Henry (presumably Henry Martyn Perkins).

Crehore letter to her sister, presumably Charlotte Bass Perkins, in which Crehore discusses a package she is sending Perkins via Mr. Stoddard and writes regarding current local events and individuals including: Reverend Peabody (William A. Peabody), Margaret Codman Peabody, Dr. Codman, Mr. Cozzens, Dr. Russel, Joesph Dyer, Frances, Mr. Fletcher of Bridgport, Susan, and their father (William Bass).

A letter from Sarah (presumably Sarah Bass Crehore) to her sister Charlotte Bass Perkins in which Crehore writes regarding the health and current situation of herself and other family members including their mother (Fidelia Bass) and their sisters Abby (Cozzens), Jane (Seymour), and Lydia (Russel). She also mentions William, Elizabeth, Laura, Susan Balkam, Samuel, Mary, and Charlotte. She discusses the local weather and last week's Thanksgiving celebration. Crehore also comments on sketches sent by Perkins of her children's graves and inquires if Judith (Judith Grant Perkins) liked to sketch as well.

Abby Bass Cozzens letter to Charlotte Bass and Justin Perkins, 1835 September 1 to November 17

Abby Bass Cozzens letter to Justin and Charlotte Bass Perkins in which Cozzens writes regarding Charlotte's prior illness, her son Samuel, a visit from their parents (Fidelia and William Bass), their sister Jane (Seymour), Cousin Frederick Fowler and his wife Mrs. Lockwood Clark, Sister Delia, and the deaths of Cousin Mary Ann, Uncle Fowler, Kinsman, Jane Grant, and the Perkinses' daughter (Charlotte Nisbet Perkins). Cozzens leaves the letter unsigned, and S.W.C. (Samuel Woodworth Cozzens) writes a closing paragraph explaining that his dear Abby asked him to finish as she was confined this morning with a daughter whom they will name Charlotte. Sarah Bass (later Crehore) has also written a message to Charlotte Perkins in the margins of the letter.
