The landscape is covered in snow and scenes include students working on a snow sculpture on the Main Quadrangle (also known as the first-year quad), a relay race with students in ski boots, a snowball fight outside of the Robert Frost Library, and bystanders watching the activities from the steps of the library where a keg is also positioned. Buildings that can be seen in the background include Robert Frost Library and Barrett Hall. These photographs were taken by D.H.B.; it has been determined that D.H.B. refers to Delia Hatch Baroni. Included are photos of a band performing, students dancing, socializing, and participating in games such as blackjack, roulette, chuck-a-luck, and poker. Attendees are dressed formally or in some cases in gambling themed costumes. These photographs are assumed to have been taken by the College Photographer for the Office of Public Affairs (now the Office of Communications).
