Abstract | A document presumed to be a page from an issue of La Critique, a handwritten periodical with issues dated from 1829 to 1830. Entries included were reviews addressed to the editor. Reviews related to student life and experiences such as a contributor's first time observing a New England Thanksgiving, a contributor's thoughts on an article in the Hampshire Sentinel about the College, and contributors' reflections on college events, studies, exercises and societies. The contributors and editors of La Critique may have been in the Alexandrian Society. The Athenian Society and the Social Union are also mentioned in an issue. |
