Abstract | Volume 3 Issue 4 of Sidelines: The Amherst College Entertainment Weekly, a student-run entertainment newspaper published from 1983 to 1984. Sidelines was founded on the idea that the College had grown "ultra-serious and ultra-critical" and aimed to provide relief, relaxation, and fun, to avoid articles regarding divisive campus politics, and to improve non-academic life at the College. Issues included entries varying in form such as articles, horoscopes, comics, drawings, opinion columns, lists of trends and styles, reviews, fiction, poems, and event calendars. The editors of this issue were Sharon Witherell, Nicole Donnelley, and Larry Ostema. Nicole Donnelley is listed as publisher of this issue. |
