Abstract | A transcription of Emily Dickinson's poems "'Mama' never forgets her birds" and "The frost of death was on the pane." The transcription is part of the collection of transcriptions of Dickinson's poems produced by Mabel Loomis Todd for publication in a volume edited by her. Most transcriptions are in Todd’s own hand; some are typed, and some were transcribed by other individuals. "F. Norcross" is written in the upper left corner and refers to Frances Lavinia Norcross. Other editor's notes are written in pencil on the transcript. A hand with a pointing finger is drawn in pen in the left margin and points to the poem "The frost of death was on the pain." |
Notes | The item is undated. The date range is based on the year Emily Dickinson died and the year the final volume of Dickinson's poems and letters that Mabel Loomis Todd edited was published. |
