Abstract | Transcriptions of Emily Dickinson's poems "Bloom upon the mountain stated," "The road to paradise is plain," "Morns like these we parted," "A route of evanescence," "Remembrance has a rear and front," and "Which misses most." The transcription is part of the collection of transcriptions of Dickinson's poems produced by Mabel Loomis Todd for publication in a volume edited by her. Most transcriptions are in Todd’s own hand; some are typed, and some were transcribed by other individuals. A penciled note, "Norcross," is written on the upper right corner of the second page and refers to Frances Lavinia Norcross. Other notations and editor's marks are written in pencil on the transcript. This transcript may be related to Emily Dickinson's manuscripts "The road to paradise is plain" (Amherst Manuscript 427), "Morns like these - we parted" (Amherst Manuscript fascicle 82), and "A route of evanescence" (Amherst Manuscripts 32, 766, 816, and 833) in this collection. |
Notes | The item is undated. The date range is based on the year Emily Dickinson died and the year the final volume of Dickinson's poems and letters that Mabel Loomis Todd edited was published. |
