Abstract | Edwin E. Bliss letter to Justin Perkins in which Bliss explains why he has not written for so long, mentioning the departure of Isaac (Isaac G. Bliss). He shares news of his Mission, other missionaries, and Robert College. Bliss also writes regarding churches related to his missionary work and the current status of family and friends. Dr. Riggs (presumably Elias Riggs), Edward Riggs, Sarah Dwight, Dr. Schauffler (William Gottlieb Schauffler), Mr. and Mrs. H. (Henry) Schauffler, Dr. Hamlin, Ostrander, Rogers, Mrs. Bliss (Isabella Homes Porter Bliss), the Bliss children Mary, Laura, Willie (William), and Isabella Stoddard, Dr. and Mrs. Schneider, Mrs. and Mrs. Van Norden, and other individuals whose names could not be deciphered are all mentioned in the letter. |
