Abstract | W. Goodell letter to Justin Perkins in which Goodell expresses his gratitude that Perkins allows for the sharing of so many of his communications. He responds to information from Perkins and discusses the importance of keeping themselves in a healthy state. Goodell shares updates on the Schaufflers and Brother Smith and says that the Temples, Mr. Adger, and a delegation from Broosa (Bursa) will meet there next week. He writes again at a later date, responding to the news that Perkins will no longer send his journals open. He discusses how other missions send their communications, open or sealed. Goodell notes where the Benjamins and Ladds have gone, that Miss Williams has married Mr. Hebard, and that their brethren from Smyrna (İzmir) and Broosa (Bursa) are no longer coming due to the plague. |
