Abstract | Friedrich Haas letter to Justin Perkins in which Haas writes of a controversy with the Catholic Bishop and his feelings that Christians should never go before a Mohamadan (Muslim) for decisions of their spiritual disputes. Haas tells Perkins he thinks the Armenian Deacon is not a pious man. Haas also comments on a public sale of goods and his Society (Basel Evangelical Missionary Society) leaving Persia. Dr. Riach and Mr. Hoernle are also mentioned in the letter. |
