Abstract
S.H. Calhoun (Simeon H. Calhoun) letter to Justin Perkins in which Calhoun writes regarding his work as an agent of the American Bible Society. He notes that he ordered the requested Hebrew Bibles and Syriac Bibles in the Jacobite character and discusses paying for Perkins' expenses related to translation and distribution of the Scriptures. He writes of his upcoming travel plans and of his current quarantine in Syra (Syros). Calhoun also discusses the distribution of the Scriptures in Greece and Turkey and remarks on the weather. Messrs. Hilduer, Walters, Pasco, and Love are all mentioned in the letter. It is addressed to Perkins in Ooroomiah (Urmia), care of Rev. W. Goodell, Constantinople.
