Abstract | James H. Coffin letter to Justin Perkins in which Coffin reminds Perkins that they went to Amherst College together, though they were in different classes. He explains that he was appointed by the American Association of Geologists and Naturalists to prepare a report on the winds of this continent and the north Atlantic, and he now wishes to seek observations throughout the northern hemisphere. He asks Perkins if there is anyone at his station who could provide him with information pertaining to Ooroomiah (Urmia) and if he knows of any local cause that would affect the direction of their winds. |
