Abstract | G. Hoernle torn letter to Justin Perkins in which Hoernle responds to a letter from Perkins and the sentiment within that Perkins will remember him as a friend despite the great distance that will separate them. He expresses his similar desire and writes regarding the circumstances of his leaving. Hoernle discusses the difficult decision between leaving Persia or transferring to Perkins' station, especially in regarding to his improving his English or Persian. He mentions trying to visit Ourmia (Urmia) before he leaves and remarks negatively on the people, expressing his wishes that the Lord will guard and protect Perkins. |
