Abstract
G. Hoernle letter to Justin Perkins in which Hoernle says that they are back from their journey to Ispahan (Isfahan) and writes regarding that journey, mentioning Mr. Merrick, missionary labors among the Armenians and "Mohamedans" (Muslims), and adherents of Hadji Sehid Mohamed Backir, the Saint of Ispahan. He also remarks on how often they think of the members of Perkins' mission, responds to news of Perkins' attack of fever, and updates Perkins on his own health and the health of Mr. Shneider (Friedrich Eduard Schneider). In a postscript, Hoernle introduces the Djerwadar who carries Perkins' things, Mohamed Cheffer from Hamsa.
