Abstract | Samuel W. Cozzens letter to Justin Perkins in which Cozzens thanks Perkins for letters received and writes regarding Charlotte Bass Perkins. He explains that she proposed leaving the asylum to attend Henry's (Perkins) graduation and notes that William (presumably William Bass) planned to write Justin and suggest his return to America. Cozzens discusses his opinion that Charlotte should not be removed from the asylum and remarks on whether or not Justin should return to America. He notes that he has sent Justin Perkins' letter to two doctors and goes on to write regarding his and his family's current situation, mentioning Abby and Hannah. |
