Abstract | J. P. Riach letter to Justin Perkins in which Riach responds to information received in a letter from Perkins. He writes regarding a variety of topics, including the Nestorian Mission and its schools, the failed negotiations of Bishop Yoosaof, his own need for (religious) assistance in Tabriz, Malek Kassim Meerza's conduct and school, his own visits to Ooroomiah (Urmia), religious conversations he's had, the possibility of success or failure of the Shah at Herat, and individuals at his location and at Perkins' mission. Mentioned in the letter are Prince Bahatoff, Major Woodfall, Dr. Grant, Mrs. Grant, Mrs. Perkins, Clarendon, Mr. Holladay, Mr. Banham, Mr. Nisbet, the General, Taylor from Bagdad (Baghdad), and Colonel Wilbraham. |
