Abstract
W. G. Schauffler letter to Justin Perkins in which Schauffler writes regarding Perkins' packages and his plans to improve their transport in the future. He goes on to discuss his recent transition from serving the Jews to the "Mohammedan" (Muslim) field and his relation to the Board (American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions), mentioning his four sons, England, an offer from the Scotch State Church, and a message from the Missionary House. Schauffler notes that Bibles and Testaments are sold in Turkish openly. He shares that "at Marash the English Consular Agent was burnt in his house with his wife, child, and servant by fanatical Turks" and a Pasha is now to march there with troops. He also remarks on news of Perkins' mission's success.
