Abstract | S. B. Treat letter to Justin Perkins in which Treat writes regarding visits to Somerville to attempt to see Mrs. (Charlotte Bass) Perkins. He notes that on his first visit Dr. Tyler was not there and on his second Dr. Tyler said he could not see her. He goes on to say that Mrs. Perkins has improved somewhat but not greatly. Treat shares that Dr. Tyler thinks she is more easily controlled than at first, that improvement must be gradual, and that he does not hold hope of a complete recovery.
