Abstract | Joseph Reed letter to Justin Perkins in which Reed provides details regarding the death of (Robert) Glen from cholera. He also writes that Glen is buried there but his remains will be removed to the Armenian burial grounds. Reed goes on to discuss cholera, the recent weather, small pox, and fever in the region. He notes that Meerza Ibraheem (Mīrzā Muhammed Ibrāhīm) has an attack of small pox. Reed says that he is sending Dr. Wiseman's lectures and will try to get to Perkins the loan of whatever part of the Bible in Persian which might be among Glen's effects. He provides the address of Glen's father, William Glen, in Edinburgh. Dr. Bell and Count Satiges are mentioned in the letter. |
