Abstract
A.H. Wright letter to Justin Perkins in which Wright writes regarding the disagreement between Mar Yohannan and his brother Dr. Joseph and Joseph's wife and shares something written in Syriac. He also discusses the value of Deacon Isaac and writes about the differences of opinion between other members of the Nestorian community regarding the disagreement. Wright discusses other news: the death of Usta Yohannan, robberies by Harkee Koords (Kurds), a fight between the Tekhomeans and the Tiarcans (mentioning also the Artoosh Koords and Bass people), a report that the wife of Shlemon ran off with a man from Tekhoma, the Shah's activities and the state of the capital, and updates on several missionaries' travels. He writes about the last proof of the Ancient Syriac Grammar and notes the death of Gozel. He also writes about the high price of wheat and how the mission may have to cut off some helpers in order to help others. He briefly mentions Sir Henry Rawlinson.
