Abstract | Robert G. Williams letter to Justin Perkins in which Williams writes regarding his studies at Princeton Theological Seminary. He notes the difficulties of his first year in regards to doubts of the authenticity of stories in the Bible and this year's difficulties in knowing how to interpret God's word. He shares his thoughts on the importance of early religious education and the solemn duty, therefore, on teachers and others. He discusses the sermon preached after Professor Dod's death which also emphasized this. Williams goes on to write about the deaths of two students, Benjamin McClure and a student in the junior class. Dr. Carnahan and Dr. Hodge are also mentioned in the letter. |
