Abstract
William Thompson letter to Justin Perkins in which Thompson discusses Mr. Stoddard's Narrative of the revival at the Nestorian Mission. He says that he occupied the time allotted to the Mon. Con. (monthly concert) chiefly with an account of the revival. He goes on to write about the Anniversary of their Institute (the Theological Institute of Connecticut), interest in the cause of Missions amongst the young men, the Anniversary at Andover (Theological Seminary), updates regarding that school and several alumni of it, Dr. Bushnell's book on Christian Nature and the "Argument" on the same, and the financial prosperity of Amherst College. Brother Hooker, Mr. Rood, Dr. Wood, Prof. Park, Dr. Anderson, the Society of Inquiry, Mills & Parsons, candidates for the Professorship of Sacred Rhetoric, Dr. Porter, and Prof. Fiske are all mentioned in the letter.
