Abstract | Sarah J. Rhea letter to the Perkins family in which Rhea writes that she was glad to have seen them all together and remarks on the news that Justin Perkins is comfortable. She writes regarding where and whom they visited after the Perkinses, mentioning Dr. and Mrs. Eddy; Mrs. Doremus; Mrs. Breath, her children, and her sisters Mrs. Merry, Mrs. Whiting, and Mrs. Day; John & Brainerd; Mr. R.; mother Rhea and sisters Ellen & Maggie; Ma; Sophie; Annie; Aunt Jane; and Pa. She includes a drawing of "the exquisite Italian stone near Father's grave" with an inscription honoring the missionary dead. She also notes that she is sending copies of the Memoir to every missionary station at her own expense. |
