Abstract | John Howard and Luke Sweetser letter to Justin Perkins in which John Howard writes of how he earned money with which he has bought testaments for the Nestorian children. He notes that he is a student at the (Amherst) Academy of which Perkins was once principal and writes of his studies. He says Reverend Mr. Coleman is now principal. Subsequently, John's father Luke writes to Perkins, remarking on Perkins' visit and what they hear of Perkins and the Bishop Mar Yohannan. He says that they have held their monthly concert in connexion with (Amherst) College recently and writes about that arrangement. Luke tells Perkins not to be afraid to speak out on the subject of Puseyism and papacy and shares news about his church and the salvation of individuals. |
