Abstract
Justin Sheil letter to Justin Perkins in which Sheil expresses his thanks for Perkins and his community for the correspondence on the occasion of "'liberty of conscience' being conceded to the Christian subjects of this government." He says that this freedom has excited distaste among the Armenians, whom Perkins' countryman refers to as Orthodox, in Ispahan (Isfahan) and Tabreez (Tabriz). Sheil recommends therefore that if conversions are taking place, there be no boasting about it which could attract notice and possibly cause a renewal in the former restrictions.
