Abstract | W.F. Williams letter presumably to Justin Perkins in which Williams writes about the English Ambassador, Mr. Murray, breaking off intercourse with the Persian government. He remarks on "that gathering of Koords" (Kurds), low temperatures, and "our Gawar brother & sister." He writes about personal losses of acquaintances and family. He also shares updates on his mission, including in regards to their seminary and book sales. Williams shares news and writes about politics, mentioning Kars, General Williams, St. Petersburg, Van, Erzerum (Erzurum), and Constantinople. He also shares brief updates about missions and missionaries at Aleppo, Aintab, and Beirut. |
