Abstract | L. Russel letter to her sister Charlotte Bass Perkins in which Russel responds to information received from Perkins, remarking on the trials of her journey. Russel goes on to write regarding affairs of the past year, including her marriage, subsequent travels, and updates on the Bass family. She also writes about a box of items they want to send the Perkinses, money collected for the Nestorian Mission, nearby schools and societies, and changes in the sisters' circle of acquaintance, such as deaths and marriages. In the letter, Russel mentions numerous individuals, including multiple members of the Bass family. |
