Abstract | A.H. Wright letter to Justin Perkins in which Wright responds to news of the new Firman. He says it seems to be the same as the old in regards to the restrictions on the number of schools, pupils, and sects and the only new idea is in "'teaching sciences' & 'not religion.'" He goes on to provide updates on the progress of the New Testament work, mentioning Mr. Cobb. He also responds to Perkins alluding to Wright hastening back to Persia. He says that the question of Lucy and Caty (and where they will stay or if one will go to Persia) is not yet solved. He provides updates on Caty, Lucy, Sarah, Johnny, and Mary. He mentions what he has heard of or learned from other missionaries and notes that the draft commenced there today. |
