Dates | 1852-09-13 |
Abstract | W. G. Schauffler letter to Justin Perkins in which Schauffler says he has been occupied with having "an invalid family," having the Dodds in their family, and the sickness and death of Mr. Hamlin's child. He writes regarding their recent responses to one another and promises that Perkins will never again receive other remarks from him on Perkins' conduct unless he is under instructions to do so. He shares his private opinion that Perkins or his Brethren writing directly to the Ambassador is proper. He goes on to discuss a package, an article he will forward, and the post in general there. He provides a message for Brother Stoddard, references the watch for Mrs. Harris, writes about his wife's foot sprain, and shares updates on the health and travel plans of others. |
