Abstract
Photographs of a ceremony marking the publication of Black Men of Amherst, written by Harold Wade Jr. Photos show attendees looking at the book and in conversation in the Gerald Penny Black Cultural Center in the Octagon. Attendees photographed may include John William Ward, Theodore P. Greene, and Harold Wade Jr.'s mother Thelma Weekes Wade. These photographs are assumed to have been taken by the College Photographer for the Office of Public Affairs (now the Office of Communications). Bob Kingman was the College Photographer from January 1975-May 1978.
