Abstract | A painting of four leaves in autumnal colors by Orra White Hitchcock, possibly done in pastels. The top three leaves are all leaves from the sassafras tree, which can have three-lobed leaves, mitten-shaped leaves, and simple leaves. Two fruits of the sassafras are depicted growing from the sprig. The bottom left leaf is a red maple leaf. The artwork is housed in a mat for conservation. |
