Abstract
A letter to Edward Hitchcock in which Benjamin Silliman mentions Dr. Charles Daubeny, who is visiting from the University of Oxford, and will soon be seeing Hitchcock. Silliman suggests that Hitchcock show Daubeny some fossil tracks and possibly bring him to see Dr. Heman Humphrey, then president of Amherst College.
