Abstract
A diary by Edward Hitchcock explaining his faith and his conversion to believing in Jesus Christ and the Bible. He claims his change of heart began in the year 1815 and in 1816 he decided to pursue a work in ministry. He goes on to write about his experiences with Unitarianism and Orthodoxy, explaining what caused him to reject the former and embrace the latter. He describes the Unitarian community in Deerfield, Massachusetts and contrasts it with the Orthodox community he encountered in New Haven, Connecticut.
