Abstract
A sermon by Edward Hitchcock dealing mostly with the experience of the disciples in the time between Christ's death and resurrection. The line "And it came to pass as he sat at meat with them he took bread and blessed it, and brake and gave to them. And their eyes were opened and they knew him," from Luke 24:30-31 is quoted. Hitchcock has written the dates and locations of when and where he delivered this sermon on a the first page and on some other pages throughout. A small sheet has been glued in on the third page, containing part of the sermon on one side and a list of dates and places where this sermon was preached on the verso.
