Abstract | A letter to Benjamin Silliman in which Edward Hitchcock requests that Silliman lend him a copy of William Daniel Conybeare and William Phillips' "Outlines of the Geology of England and Wales," inquires whether Silliman knows any geologists in England that may be willing to trade specimens with Hitchcock, and posits that a specimen he had sent Silliman at an earlier date is limpid topaz, requesting confirmation from Silliman. |
