Silliman also expresses his concern for expenses for illustrations to accompany an article by Hitchcock in the American Journal of Science, and compares the status of the Journal with that of [George] Featherstonhaugh's Monthly American Journal of Geology & Natural Science amongst the scholarly science community. |
